It looks like FX is going to be adding yet another cool show to its lineup, this time the pretty awesome looking Terriers.
FX says:
Terriers from Creator/Executive Producer Ted Griffin (Ocean’s Eleven, Matchstick Men) and Executive Producer Shawn Ryan (The Shield), is a comedic drama starring Donal Logue (The Tao of Steve) and Michael Raymond-James (True Blood). It centers on “Hank Dolworth” (Logue), an ex-cop, who partners with his best friend “Britt Pollack” (Raymond-James) in an unlicensed private investigation business. Comedic, edgy, original, a show about high stakes in the face of low expectations, Terriers explores what it’s like in today’s America to be “too small to fail.” Co-stars include Laura Allen (Dirt) as “Katie,” Britt’s girlfriend; Rockmond Dunbar (Prison Break) as “Detective Mark Gustafson,” former colleague of Hank; and Jamie Denbo (Weeds) as “Maggie Lefferts,” Hank’s attorney. Craig Brewer (Hustle and Flow, The Shield) directed the pilot episode.
Check out the latest poster below and a video which gives you a hint of the tone of the show. Terriers premieres on September 8th.
It’s taken a while but we finally have a trailer for Darren Aronofsky’s next film, Black Swan.
It’s all kinds of cool and it’s seems to be further proof that Aronofsky doesn’t make bad films. But then how could a film with Natalie Portman, Mila Kunis and Vincent Cassel be anything other than awesome.
Oh my God, work has sucked all of my time. I didn’t realise how long ago it was that I actually posted something.
Anyway, here’s the trailer for Jackass 3D, what will probably turn out to be the most insanely fun film of 2010. I absolutely love the previous two films and I’m a fan of the original show along with the various spinoffs such as Wildboyz and Viva La Bam. I can’t wait to see all the guys back together being idiots.
I love me a good creature feature and Monsters looks pretty damn impressive.
The film takes place six years after NASA discovered the possibility of alien life within our solar system and a probe launched to collect samples crashed over Central America. Soon after, new life forms began to appear and half of Mexico was quarantined as an INFECTED ZONE. Today, the American and Mexican military still struggle to contain “the creatures”…… The story begins when a US journalist agrees to escort a shaken tourist through the infected zone in Mexico to the safety of the US border.
If that doesn’t sound cool I don’t know what does. I’ve read good things about the film since it played at a couple of film festivals in June so I’m hoping it won’t be too long until it arrives here in Oz.
Comic-Con is underway and there’s been a bunch of cool trailers, posters, video game stuff, and movie news. Below are four trailers for Red, Stone, Tron: Legacy, and a red band Machete one which all came out this week (although I’m not sure if the one for Stone came from Comic-Con.
All four films look pretty damn good to me, and what with these four and trailers for The Town and The Social Network, it’s been a really good week or so for trailers.
Hot on the heels of the first poster for Sofia Coppola’s Somewhere comes the first trailer.
I was already pretty damn excited about the film but the trailer makes me want to see it even more. I’ve been a fan of Stephen Dorff since S.F.W. and I really think Elle Fanning has some talent. I absolutely love this trailer and the stripped down song by The Strokes which plays over it. Awesome stuff.
The first trailer for Tangled has been released and it says just about nothing about the plot of the film. The nicest thing I can say about the trailer is that I kinda like the look of the characters and the animation as a whole. Besides that it seems to be standard CG fare.
Just the other day a pretty awesome teaser promo for upcoming 3rd season of True Blood was released. Today brings a full promo trailer which gives a much better impression of what’s gonna happen this season.
All in all the trailer does a good job of building excitement for the upcoming season. I noticed just about all of the regular characters make an appearance in the promo, along with some new additions, although I didn’t see Sophie-Anne. Hopefully she’ll be a part of the 3rd season because I thought she was a pretty cool addition late in last season.
Thanks to Collider for digging up this amazing fan made promo trailer for the series finale of Lost.
It’s made entirely from old footage combined with a wonderful soundtrack and is edited perfectly. But it’s the various voiceovers by Locke that really make this thing shine. Any fan of Lost should love this promo.
It’s such a shame that there’s only 3 1/2 hours of Lost left.
