TOY STORY 3D trailer

Jul 29 2009 Published by under Film

Here’s a charming little trailer to promote the relaunch of Toy Story and Toy Story 2 in 3D.

I’d really like to see both of these in 3D but there’s no cinemas in my town which show 3D pictures, and I think there’s only one or two in Sydney.  Couple that with the probability that the relaunch won’t happen in Australia and it’s understandable why I’m a little disappointed.

TOY STORY 3 teaser trailer

This is apparently playing infront of Up, and despite it showing nothing and being roughly 1 year away, I’m still really excited about it.  Pixar can do no wrong in my eyes.

WILL FERRELL – a great SNL host

May 18 2009 Published by under TV

Will Ferrell was always one of my favourite SNL cast members, and since he left the show he’s been right near the top of the list of my favourite actors too.  This weekend he hosted the season finale of SNL and reprised some of the great characters he did when he was a cast member.

Below are segments for Jeopardy with Ferrell once again playing Alex Trebek, Darrell Hammond as Sean Connery and an hilarious cameo from Tom Hanks, and in the second clip Ferrell portrays deceased baseball announcer Harry Caray on Weekend Update.

TOY STORY 3 script impressions

May 06 2009 Published by under Film, Reviews, Scripts, Unproduced

Toy StoryThis is my first attempt at reviewing a script on my new blog, but I’m not even going to pretend to be good at analysing a script.  What I’m going to do instead is give general impressions of the scripts I read with some broad reasons why I like or dislike it.

So, the script I have for TOY STORY 3 is an early draft which has apparently been discarded for a completely new story.  I think with the standards that Pixar has set for itself with it’s catalogue of films, that this is actually a good thing.  That’s not to say that the story isn’t any good, I just don’t think it matches up to the level of quality that we all expect from a Pixar flick.
