Suicidegirls.com is awesome

703339

I know this in no way has anything to do with TV or film but I don’t care.  I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to discover suicidegirls.com.

The site is heaven for guys like me who like naked girls with some tattoos.  As a warning, yeah they are for the most part naked, some just top only, but I really wouldn’t go so far as to call it a porn site.  They’re really just alternative pinups for our generation.

I recommend checking it out.  You can sign up for a $47.95 for the year and it works out to be a little under $4 per month.

And yeah, the banner pic is the cleanest one I could find in their free tour gallery.

Joshua Jackson on set of FRINGE

Here are some new snaps of Joshua Jackson and Lance Reddick filming for the second season of Fringe in Vancouver.

I really enjoyed this show during it’s first season and have high hopes for it going into the second season.  My hope is that it finds it’s own voice and will take over as the prime serialised series once Lost finishes up its final season next year.  I’m still kinda bummed that they fired Kirk Acevedo but I’m confident that they’ll introduce more interesting characters throughout the second season.

The second season premiere of Fringe is scheduled for 17th September at 9PM.

IT MIGHT GET LOUD premiere

90619A1_WHITE_J_B-GR_03

It Might Get Loud had it’s Los Angeles premiere at the Los Angeles Film Festival today and a bunch of cool people turned up including JJ Abrams, Elisabeth Shue, Jack White, and Jimmy Page.

The documentary looks at electric guitar from the point of view of three significant rock musicians: the Edge (U2), Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin) and Jack White (The White Stripes).

The involvement of these three really makes this something I’m interested in.  I think that Led Zeppelin are the greatest rock band we’ve ever seen, and The White Stripes and U2 are both bands which continue to shape the musical environment.  I hadn’t even heard of this project before but thinking about it I’m pretty excited to see it.

More pics of Russell Crowe on ROBIN HOOD

90618P1_CROWE_B-GR_08

More pics emerged today of Russell Crowe shooting scenes for the upcoming Ridley Scott directed Robin Hood.  These ones are a bit more action packed than the previous bunch and appear to show Crowe filming a battle scene.

It’ll be nice to see Crowe in a movie with a bit more action than his previous few films have delivered.

BRUNO premieres in London

90617M7_COHEN_B-GR_01

Not only is he insanely funny and talented, but he’s also supremely dedicated to his performances.  How else do you explain the fact that Sacha Baron Cohen remains in character for weeks, if not months, after he’s done filming his movies.  He did it with Borat and he’s doing it again for Bruno.  I can only wait to see what he does when he starts hitting the talk shows.

These snaps are from the London premiere of Bruno, and include Baron Cohen’s fiancée, Aussie export Isla Fisher.

Kristen Stewart & Joan Jett together again

90617NN1_STEWART_K_B_GR_08

Another day and another set of photos of Kristen Stewart and Joan Jett together for work on The Runaways.  I have to say that I like them spending so much time together ‘cos it can really only be a good thing for the movie.  Hopefully it’ll turn out to be another great starring vehicle for Kristen.

I kinda like the t-shirt she’s wearing too.  I wonder if everyone working on the flick gets one.

Paris Hilton chows down

90614F1_HILTON_P_B_GR_01I like all celebrities for the most part.  I think deep down everyone wants to be famous, and that’s what makes it so appealing to see how the other half lives.  With that in mind I try not to be mean or harsh when I make posts here, despite sometimes being annoyed by certain celebrities.

Paris Hilton is one such person.  I think she’s very attractive, and she seems to have some money, but for the life of me I can’t figure out why she’s famous.  She doesn’t appear to do anything.

But who am I kidding, if I could live the life she does I’d do it in a second, so good for her.

Anyway, these are snaps of Paris and her family as they arrive to have dinner at Mr Chow in Beverly Hills.

Russell Crowe saddles up on ROBIN HOOD

90616P4_CROWE_B-GR_04

Russell Crowe jumped into the saddle today (or yesterday, I can never quite get my head around the whole time zones thing) to shoot scenes for Ridley Scott’s upcoming Robin Hood in Wales.

Check out the snaps below and click on them for a larger view.

Cage & Bellucci set photos from THE SORCERER’S APPRENTICE

90616X8_CAGE_B-GR_05Nicholas Cage and Monica Bellucci filmed scenes for the upcoming fantasy adventure The Sorcerer’s Apprentice in Battery Park, New York.

The film tells the story of a sorcerer who leaves his workshop in the hands of his apprentice, who then gets into trouble when the broomstick he’s tasked to do his chores for him somehow develops a mind of its own.

Cage is reteaming with his National Treasure director Jon Turteltaub for this one, which has a tentative release date of 16th July 2010.
