Hell yes. Justin Theroux set to join PARKS & RECREATION

Justin Theroux

OMG.  Justin Theroux, one of my absolute favourite actors/writers/producers, is set to join Parks and Recreation, the best comedy on TV right now, as a major recurring character.

Theroux was the only good thing about Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle, and was fantastic in Mulholland Drive too.  Not to mention that he wrote Tropic Thunder and the upcoming Iron Man 2.  I’m so damn excited about this.  The only downer about the whole thing is that he’s slated to be a love interest for Leslie (Amy Poehler) which means that Louis C.K. won’t be around much longer.

Deleted scene from PARKS & RECREATION

Here’s a deleted scene from Parks & Recreation featuring the wonderful Aubrey Plaza.  So far this season she’s been given a lot more to do but I could always do with more Aubrey Plaza.  That perpetually bored and unimpressed look of hers is awesome.

Louis C.K. joins PARKS & RECREATION

Hell yeah.  Probably my favourite comedian working today has joined NBC’s Parks & Recreation for a multi-episode arc.

The comedian will portray a Pawnee police officer and potential love interest for Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler).  Louis will first appear in the second episode and then in several segments thereafter.

This is great news.  NBC now has probably the best lineup of any network all week with their Thursday comedy block of Parks & Recreation, The Office, Community, and 30 Rock, and it’s great to see them adding to this by casting talent the quality of Louis C.K.  Despite the lukewarm reception to Parks & Recreation for it’s first season I absolutely loved it, and the addition of Louis C.K. shows me that the show is going to get better and better and develop more of it’s own voice separate from The Office.

Role on September 17th when all these kick-ass shows start up again.
