I love Megan Fox and I’m really looking forward to seeing her in Jennifer’s Body.  With that said, here’s the French poster for the flick and a video of her appearance on The Tonight Show the other day.

JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE! is coming to Oz

Aug 31 2009 Published by under Celebrities, TV

Jimmy Kimmel

Finally, Jimmy Kimmel Live! is coming to Australian TV.  That means that all the talk shows I want will now be available fresh off the satellite for the first time ever.  No more relying on torrents to get the shows.

Every day on one channel I can now see The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, and The Late Show with David Letterman.  That only really leaves The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson and The Jay Leno Show when it premieres in roughly two weeks.  I don’t think that Ferguson will be appearing anytime soon, but I’m pretty confident that Leno will be on the air here for his premiere.

Jimmy Kimmel Live! is set to start airing on The Comedy Channel beginning Wednesday Sept 2nd.

Nancy Travis deserves better

Aug 30 2009 Published by under Celebrities, TV

Nancy Travis

So I was in NYC for the past 10 days and in between seeing the sights I watched a decent amount of TBS (for all the sitcom reruns) and noticed a show called The Bill Engvall Show.  It immediately caught my attention because of the presence of the lovely Nancy Travis.  I’ve never seen The Bill Engvall Show, and I didn’t watch it when I was in the US, but I can’t really figure out why Nancy Travis is stuck on a cable sitcom.

I absolutely love So I Married an Axe Murderer and thought that Nancy Travis was wonderful in it, but I can’t recall seeing her in anything major since then.  One look at her IMDB page shows that she’s had a long and steady amount of work since it’s release in 1993 (mostly in TV), but I would’ve thought that she’d be a bigger star than she is.  Also, let’s not overlook the fact that she’s pretty damn hot too.  She’s coming up on her 48th birthday but in my eyes she’s as sexy as ever.

The Bill Engvall Show can’t last forever, so hopefully when she’s done with that she’ll appear in something a bit more widespread, but until then I may have to risk the show being terrible and give it a view.

1st weeks guests for JAY LENO SHOW announced

Aug 29 2009 Published by under Celebrities, TV

Jay Leno

In a little over two weeks The Jay Leno Show will hit the air and he’ll begin syphoning guests away from The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien.  It wasn’t that much of a problem when Conan was in New York, but now that he’s in LA it’s gonna be a shit-fight between the two to book guests.  I think that most will pick the safer route with Leno rather than the crazier Conan.  God I hate Leno.

The guests are as follows:

Mon 14th Sept: Jerry Seinfeld and musical collaboration between Jay-Z, Kanye West and Rihanna.
Tue 15th Sept: Tom Cruise.
Wed 16th Sept: Robin Williams and Miley Cyrus.
Thur 17th Sept: Halle Berry and musical collaboration between Bruce Hornsby and Eric Clapton.

Trio from ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT reunite

Aug 11 2009 Published by under Celebrities, TV

will-arnett

A mini Arrested Development reunion is in the works with Will Arnett, Mitch Hurwitz and Jim Vallely teaming up for a new single-camera comedy for Fox.

The project is being written by the trio and is set to star Arnett as a rich Beverly Hills jackass who falls in love with a charitable tree-hugging woman who can’t stand his lifestyle or values.

Despite my idiot friends not liking it, I think Arrested Development is second only to Seinfeld as the best sitcom of all time.  That means I’ll always pay attention to anything which involves alumni from the show, no matter what the premise is.

Now if only that movie version of Arrested Development would get off the ground.

Louis C.K. joins PARKS & RECREATION

Aug 06 2009 Published by under Celebrities, TV

louis ck

Hell yeah.  Probably my favourite comedian working today has joined NBC’s Parks & Recreation for a multi-episode arc.

The comedian will portray a Pawnee police officer and potential love interest for Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler).  Louis will first appear in the second episode and then in several segments thereafter.

This is great news.  NBC now has probably the best lineup of any network all week with their Thursday comedy block of Parks & Recreation, The Office, Community, and 30 Rock, and it’s great to see them adding to this by casting talent the quality of Louis C.K.  Despite the lukewarm reception to Parks & Recreation for it’s first season I absolutely loved it, and the addition of Louis C.K. shows me that the show is going to get better and better and develop more of it’s own voice separate from The Office.

Role on September 17th when all these kick-ass shows start up again.

YESSSSSS… Joe Eszterhas returns

Aug 06 2009 Published by under Celebrities, Film, Scripts

eszterhas

The Hollywood Reporter is today reporting that Joe Eszterhas will be returning to Hollywood for his next project based on the Virgin of Guadalupe, an icon of the Virgin Mary that supposedly appeared to a Mexican peasant in the 16th century.

This is a bit of a change of pace from his usual sexually charged material, but I don’t care.  I’m a massive fan of Eszterhas so in my opinion any Eszterhas is better than no Eszterhas.

Now if only he could convince Paul Verhoeven to direct it I’d be in heaven.  Maybe they could even talk about the canned sequel to Showgirls they planned on making.

Charlyne Yi on THE TONIGHT SHOW

Aug 05 2009 Published by under Celebrities, TV

I caught Conan last night and the wonderfully adorable Charlyne Yi was on as the second guest.  She was on to promote her new movie Paper Heart but talked mostly about her audition for Knocked Up and her role in the adaptation of E.T.  She also rocked the guitar.

Check out the clip below.

Silversun Pickups on LETTERMAN

Jul 30 2009 Published by under Celebrities, TV

I just got around to watching Letterman from the other day and I was pleasantly surprised to see Silversun Pickups as the musical guest.

I’m a huge fan of their music and they did a fantastic live performance of “Panic Switch” from their album Swoon.  Their drummer Chris was just insane.

Once again I’m late with this, but here’s the new installment of PG Porn called “Genital Hospital” by James Gunn.

This one stars Sean Gunn and the insanely hot Belladonna.
