I’m a lawyer based in Australia and I maintain this site, in whatever poorly updated state it may be, because I genuinely love film and television.
I recognise that I will usually be recycling news or information, and may be significantly late in posting reviews of movies or television shows, but I have this site simply because I want an outlet to write about things which interest me. And nothing interests me more than film and television.
No scripts are available to download from the site.
No scripts will be sold under any circumstances.
Script reviews are undertaken in accordance with s 41 of the Copyright Act 1968:
A fair dealing with a literary, dramatic, musical or artistic work, or with an adaptation of a literary, dramatic, or musical work, does not constitute an infringement of the copyright in the work if it is for the purpose of criticism or review, whether of that work or of another work, and a sufficient acknowledgement of the work is made.
All that said, I’ve just about given up on reading scripts now. It was too much work to cultivate and maintain contacts in order to get new scripts, and I have far more than I could ever possibly read. Plus I don’t want to deal with the legal ramifications associated with collecting scripts.
