I’m not wowed by this like I was the first time I saw the Pirates of the Caribbean trailer, but I’m certainly not disappointed by it. I really hope that this turns out to be another franchise for Bruckheimer.
not wowed as well. a little bit disappointed. that's probably because i have such a special place in my heart for it – not the fancy, modern version of the game, but the beat-down, 8-bit, 1990 (in brazil), "press shift+l to skip a level" phase… i remember having so much fun. i wish the film could emulate a little bit of that. let's wait and see. ps: i'm in no way an expert on the english language, but i wish actors could deliver better accents when they're trying to. you can say all you want about christian bale and his batman voice, for example, but his american accent is flawless (imho). what do you think? bad accents is getting kind tiresome…
